The Civilian Conservation Corps Programme caters for unemployed/unemployable young adults between the ages of 16 to 25 with limited or no academic qualifications who at present is unemployed or unemployable. Contact US Facebook Instagram Youtube Group Selection Unlike other organisations, where a combination of academic qualifications and experience are considered for employment or Programme admission, the converse is true about the Civilian Conservation Corps. The Programme specifically attracts a niche within this market of 16-25 years old, who have the lowest level of formal education and least involvement in community activity, and who are less likely to succeed elsewhere. Our Process The following processes ensure that required target group for the Programme is given priority: Education qualifications: Candidates with limited or no academic or vocational qualifications will be given greater priority than candidates possessing academic qualifications and experience. State of the household: Candidates from single parent households who are without the economic means and were seen to be with high needs at entering the underground criminal economy, and also meeting the first criteria, will be given greater priority than candidates from unbroken families. Employment experience: Candidates with limited or no experience or who are considered unemployable, and meet the two criteria above, will be given greater priority than persons with employment experience. F.A.Q. Frequently Asked Questions Is this a Residential Programme? No. Civilian Conservation Corps is a Non-Residential Full Time Programme. How old do I have to be to join the Civilian Conservation Corps? You must be between the ages 16-25, and be a citizen of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Where are your Regional Offices located? The Civilian Conservation Corps Programme has eight (8) Regional Offices located in Barataria, Mausica, Sangre Grande, Chaguanas, Rio Claro, Princes Town, Siparia, and Tobago. You can get more information by clicking here . How much to register at the Civilian Conservation Corps? There is no cost to register. What are the days you are required to attend the Programme? You are required to attend the Programme from Mondays to Fridays, 7 0’clock in the morning to 4 o’clock in the afternoon. Occasionally, you may have to come out on a weekend for community service or special events. Will I receive any kind of compensation for attending the Programme? Yes! All Trainees receive a monetary stipend of Ninety Dollars ($90.00) per day of attendance. Do I have to wear a uniform and if so, do I have to buy one? Yes you are required to wear the Programme’s uniform, however, this is provided to you free of charge. Do you have a price listing for the courses offered? All the courses offered are free once you enroll. How long is the training? A training cycle is six (6) months. This comprises of an Induction Training Phase of two (2) months and a Skills Training Phase of four (4) months. Will I get practical on-the-job experience? Yes, all Trainees work with, and learn from, experienced professionals in accredited businesses or training facilities. How is the Civilian Conservation Corps Programme funded?
